Our company
interquell GmbH is a modern family business with over 250 years of experience in the production of food and pet food. We now employ around 320 people from 26 nations. We produce high-quality food, baby food and pet food from the best natural raw materials. Our pet food division, iQ petfood, has stood for healthy and varied animal nutrition for generations, taking responsibility for people, animals and the environment. The roots of our family business go back to the 18th century.
Our recipes are continuously improved and are based on the latest scientific findings to enable every pet to live a long, healthy and happy life. Our Happy Dog, Happy Cat and Goood brands stand for high-quality premium pet food for dogs and cats. We also produce high-quality private label products for customers worldwide as well as specialties for pond and ornamental fish, including under the fisch-fit brand.

iQ petfood is a leading company in the pet food industry and produces around 75,000 tons of premium pet food per year. For our pet food division, iQ petfood, we have been producing our dry pet food and snacks at our plant in Wehringen, Bavaria, and exporting them worldwide. Storage and shipping are handled at another site in Bobingen. The food division with an in-house laboratory is located in Großaitingen.
We are characterized by product innovations, sustainable production standards and social commitment. Since 2009, our company has been supporting the construction of an elementary school in Burundi as part of its lighthouse initiative within the SOS Children's Villages facilities. iQ petfood works with carefully selected agricultural partners and sources plant-based raw materials largely from the region around Augsburg to ensure short transportation routes and therefore less environmental impact. In recent years, we have focused on expanding renewable energies, modernizing production and developing sustainable and healthy products.

Storage and despatch are handled at another site in Bobingen. The food division with an in-house laboratory is located in Großaitingen.
